Oh noooo! !! I have so much of their clothing that I love! I spent the last year in maternity clothing and have been working out super hard this year in anticipation of all of the cute & stylish clothes I'd be replenishing my wardrobe with

Have they had these warehouse sales before? Any good?

I left empty handed as well - The stuff was overpriced still in my opinion... people were stuffing bags full though.... lol

They used to have these warehouse sales twice a year. The very first one I ever went to (maybe 2006?) was good, and I haven't bought more than one thing at a time ever since. Most of the nice things I found were in the discard pile in the changeroom, not on the tables. I mostly buy things for DH because the womens selection was really weird stuff that was probably in their clearance section for months in the stores. Still, there were several people piling up bags of either plain t-shirts, or interesting clothes with beads and tassles that has an even more interesting care label!

I also found that the "sale" pricing at the warehouse was more than they were selling the exact same item for in the store clearance section. I bought a t-shirt for a friend at $7 when I later found it the next day for $5 in-store, and the store had more sizing, better selection, and additional colours. So, it was more expensive, cash only, non-refundable, long lineups, and you have to try it on in a room full of other women surrounded by a curtain. I only go to see a good friend of mine, but generally have bought nothing in the past few years. Quite a shame because I love their clothes!

I find it's a way for Esprit to move a lot of merchandise because people wait in line to get in, wait in line to change, wait in line to pay, so they buy. As my friend said, "I want to leave with at least something" and tried to pressure me to do the same. Most of the stuff they have there, I'd never even seen in their stores. If you're looking for something very original, you'll probably find it there.

I remember last time I went (last year). The line up was wrapped around the entire hall (inside), one of us lined up while the other tried to find something. A lot of people were doing this, the prices were not great at all and quite a bit of stuff was damaged as well. They tried to get you to buy more things, by saying something like buy 10 items get 10% off or something (don't really remember)

looks like they will combine with Lacoste shoes again this year (they hadnt done it the last couple of times that I went) which are CRAZY good deals, ie. leather boots which we picked up for $70 i think and then later saw them in store for almost $300 etc. if you like lacoste footwear then it's worth it!!
i always pick up a tonne of work wear whenever I go to this sale though agree with previous posters that prices on the first couple of days definitely not worth it.
Saturday is always the best day to go I find, still have sizes and selection and usually the first price drop has also taken place!
Happy shopping!! I am going to be missing out this one!

I do not find this warehouse sale any good as items are still pricey. I tend to find good deals at the outlet store in Heartland(Mississauga).

Most thing were over-priced. ESPIRT tees and tanks were $10.99 and sweaters were $14.99. Bras were $9.99. Dresses $14.99. Lacoste footwear started at $54.99 I believe (sandals may have been cheaper but were still around the $50 mark). Boots sold out super fast. They also had bins filled with Puma accessories like bags, hats and laptop sleeves. Hats at $9.99 and bags at $25. That's all I can remember. I wasn't impressed with the pricing.

BTW - This isn't being held in Hall 6; it's actually in Hall 3!

I know! I drove all the way to Hall 6 and there was no one. Good thing it kicked in that I saw a lot of people around Hall 3

I was disappointed. Mind you, Esprit was never a store where I enjoyed shopping. There was a lot of t-shirts and basic stuff. La Coste footwear was nice but I couldn't find anything I like in my size.

After grabbing few dresses and blazers from women's section, I headed over to the change rooms. The line was too long and unless I really want or need something, I never bother waiting to pay for it.

Why did Esprit close? I'm noticing a lot of European brands are leaving the market while American brands are marketing more aggressively. I'll be crushed if FCUK leaves.
