Applied to a new job and got a response back in my email telling me to call him @ 9am tomorrow... The job is for ottawa and he wants me to clal long distance to toronto?? isn't employers suppose to call candidates? Im just curious because I've never had to do that before

I've had a few phone interviews and I have never had to call them...it does sound a little odd.

Ya, that's what I was thinking.. hmmmm but the ad was on a paid site jobbank HRDC..

I almost got scammed with a job offer a few years ago and they were posted on Monster. When I eventually clued in, I reported it to Monster. They gave me some spew... that even thoughed they tried, they couldn't look into everyone who posted and sometimes phonies got through. Being posted on the JobBank doesn't necessarily make it legit. Those guys know what they are doing and know how to work the 'system'. Did you look into the company that you have the interview with?

Yes it sure is legit. Well....maybe you should just look forward to your interview then...hey, at least you won't have to be surprised by the call...you can be all relaxed and comfy....good luck with your interview!!!!

Did you do a reverse look up on the phone number? If it's legit, I'd suggest that you email them back and thank them for the opportunity, but could they call YOU instead at their convenience
