Thread: My First Time Posting: Zehrs/Walmart/Freshco Deals!

Hello everyone,
I am always very inspired by all the brags I read on here, so have decided to develop quite an extensive coupon binder however am still figuring out how to be crafty when using them to get the best deals. I thought I had a pretty good day on Friday though! Keep in mind I am still learning so any deal is great to me!
I started out at Bulk Barn where they had Easter candy for 50% off.
I then redeemed by free roll up the rim coffee at Tim Hortons- yum!
I went to Freshco as I saw they had some good flyer deals..
I got 2 boxes of Schneiders wings for 4.97 each (they are 14.99 at Zehrs!) and also picked up some chicken drumsticks and thighs = 4.83 and 3.82. I am going to make the Lord of the Wings recipe from Looneyspoons. Soo good.
I then went to Zehrs where I got Itali penne for .88 cents and catelli sauce for .88 cents as well. I also picked up some pork chops that were on sale, so got 6 for 4.11.
I went for the KD on sale for .59 cents, but they were out of stock so got a raincheck on those.
On my way out I noticed a clearance bin so ran home to get my coupon binder!
Transaction 2 at Zehrs I got:
Tylenol Back Pain Reg: 11.49 with a 50% off sticker + I had a $4 coupon from a tear pad at Zehrs
I also picked up a large btl of Pantene Reg. 6.99 with a 50% off sticker plus I had a $1.00 off coupon from brandsaver.
I then went to Walmart (so much shopping!)
I price matched Food Basics to pick up Sunlight for .88 cents after the $2.88 price match minus $2.00 (smartsource?) coupon
I also got 4 boxes of christie crackers using 2 x .50 cents off wheat thins tear pad coupon, 1 x . 75 cents off Triscuits and 1 x .75 cents off Sociables. (Those were from a magazine with a "Save $14 off products" coupon insert inside that my "common law mother in law" gave me! The crackers were 1.67 so got all 4 boxes for 4.18 after tax. This thread is currently associated with: Bulk Barn, Food Basics, FreshCo, Smart Source, Tim Hortons, Walmart, Zehrs

melissa26!
So proud of you!!! Rule number 1....always enter any store with a cart, your peeps on the alert and never-ever-ever don't bring your coupon binder...we have all been there and still are there sometimes but ya try as much as ya can anyways.
And every shopping brag starts off great with a free coffee, right there that was worth getting out of bed for and all the fantastic savings you got, I think you are doing a fantastic job and your details and determination in your brag paint a clear enthusiastic picture of your hunt. So cute. Thank you so much for sharing and as Colleen mentionned -looking forward to more posts!!! Thanks again.
Thanks for the chicken wing recipe referal, I'm gonna check into that recipe for sure, never enough chicken wing recipes and those were great prices for those wings right? Thanks again.Last edited by oscarandme; Mon, Apr 8th, 2013 at 01:57 AM.

Great deals melissa! You combined sales, pink stickers and coupons to get very nice savings. For me it is important to get the items I need at a good price. It is hard to always try to get the best possible deal. (that is why I always admire those SC-ers who master the art of saving). Thank you for posting.

Thanks everyone for all of the replies! It's so great that you have developed such a supportive community here at SC.
oscarandme- thanks for the suggestion! I am still getting over the "nervous hump" about bringing my large binder into the store and bothering the cashiers. Slowly getting better at it though!
I am getting quite addicted to this whole bargain hunt game, so will continue to post and read about others triumphs!
Thanks again!
