I'd prefer randomness.
Jax doesnt really pay attention to the TV, except for elmos world and bert and ernie...and of course all the "do what the douads do - do what we do!", and roll play and all those (dowad..duad..do-odd...however you spell that)..sometimes the only way to get him to stop crying is to sing the rubber duckie song.

Max and Ruby annoy me too!
I ♥ Toopy and Binoo! We even saw the live show (free at the mall) LOL. My husband hates Diego and Dora because he says the shows encourage children to yell (SAY IT LOUDER!!)
We cancelled our cable too, and we have Netflix for both the US and Canada and there isn't actually that much difference between them for children's content. And oddly enough for adults, it's the same number of shows more or less, but different ones.
For example, if I want to watch Parks and Recreation (love Amy Poehler) I log onto the US Netflix. If we want to watch Ironman (the movie, mmmm ... Robert Downy Jr. ....) we watch it on Canadian Netflix.
It's dumb.
But $8 is certainly WAY better than any cable package.
I've never noticed any shows disappearing. The only drawback to Netflix is that there are no Disney Jr. shows and my kids adore Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Sophia the First and Doc McStuffins. Have to download those!

We pay $100 for internet and basic cable at the moment...we only have one provider available here though so if we want TV that's our only option. I wouldn't mind getting Netflix but I don't think DH could live without Sportscentre and TSN.

I think thats a rugby ball...
I need tank tops. Not spagetti straps or ribbed. Size med usually works well.
Do you need any couponing stuff? Pens / Stickers / Envelopes / Stamps / Letter Opener.....
All this is on my wishlist
Do you have any pets, if so do they need anything?
no
Do you drink hard liquor, if so what kind?
No often but if I do, its usually spiced rum
Can you stack? If you can't or can is there any item that you would want??
I can stack at London Drugs, but I don't usually choose to. Its too much work and makes my head hurt.
What is your MOST WANTED ITEM?
I have no idea! A maid? Pretty please?
Buddy do you like Aveeno/ Burt's Bee's products?
Sure
Movie Vouchers
Yes!

Haha.
DH does not allow Dora in the household. He thinks it teaches kids that it's funny to steal things (Swiper).
Has anyone watched that new Toopy and Binoo Vroom Vroom Zoom they aired on Treehouse?! What are your opinions, DH and I are very dissapointed. We typically let DS watch Toopy every night before bed as it calm's him down and he zones out on it. He was NOT into it either.

Back to annoying children's shows, LOL
My dad watched my DD when she was 14mo to 3 years while I was at work during the day. During that time, the watched some Treehouse, but one show he would NEVER allow her to watch was Caillou. He brain-washed her into thinking that he was the most whiney, disrespectful and annoying kid, LOL. To this very day ... and she's almost 6, when she heard the lyrics coming up on Treehouse, she would get up from what she was doing and either turn the tv off, or leave the room! LOL
My dad also has the same attitude about Curious George, but I disagree. Who couldn't love a monkey?
DD loves My Little Pony and that was my favourite show growing up (and She Ra!) so it's nice - we watch together.
DH LOVES Transformers. How much you ask? I'll show you. (Left and right side of his closet)
He calls it an investment in DS' future. I tell him he would have better off receiving stocks from Toys R Us. Oh well! LOL
They watch new episodes of Transformers together.

Big hugs to Bluz
I am lucky to have both my parents, and they are only 5 minutes away and we are very close.
Happy birthday to Shawshank

We were paying our company (only one where I live too) $160 a month for high speed internet, phone and cable. We got it down to $60 for phone and internet.
DH is an avid hockey and CFL fan. He got Game Centre and Centre Ice for and he can watch every single hockey game (except play offs) for $50 for the year.
I might have to send him to the pub to watch football once the season starts, LOL
Good point about Swiper!
I haven't heard about the new Toopy and Binoo, will have to check it out!!

Okay I am just caught up
Weather is overcast here today but the rain is staying away and its pretty warm, all the snow is almost melted.
I went to Michaels, Walmart and the new Big Lots today and finished my buddies package!!!! Woohoo, got some great deals.
My bf is a warehouse manager in charge of shipping so I have it all bagged up and he said he will take it to work to ship it.
I have a question, do we wait til the ship date or do we ship as soon as the package is ready. I want to wait til next week for sure incase I see something else while I am out to add to spoil my buddy. Just wondering
Well got to find something to make for dinner.
I am invited to a pinterest party where you make your favorite pinterest dish and bring it for everyone to try. I just joined last week so I have only tried one thing!!! Any suggestions--must have recipes that you love????
I saw that chocolate lasagne on there that has been posted in the thread.
Thanks
I almost forgot I updated my post on page 86 with all the answers to questions for my buddy post #1286Last edited by julesm14; Mon, Apr 8th, 2013 at 04:28 PM.
