All of my cereal boxes have holes in them from clipping the coupons out. LOL. It is driving me nuts. I was thinking of buying Rubbermaid containers for them, but I hear the cereal does not stay fresh inside. How do you store your cereal when there are coupons on the boxes? Do you wait until the cereal is done before clipping? I would worry that I would miss the expiry date. Sometimes I buy the cereal just for the coupon, if it is a cereal we will eventually eat.

Good question. The big Ziplocs work for us, in that case. Put the inner bag from the cereal box into a clear large Ziplock, with zipper.

And getting them free with coupon, means you don't have to pay for Rubber Maid.

I don't get to keep my cereal for more than 2 or 3 days once opened. And I try not to get a stockpile of cereal since the boxes would be opened regardless of any other boxes opened.

I make my own granola and keep it in an airtight rubbermaid container with no lost in freshness. Can't see why it wouldn't work for store-bought cereal. If you can afford it, get Tupperware. They're the best!

We have a bunch of plastic cereal containers from walmart and one tupperware one. I like just dumping the cereal into the container and tossing the bags and cardboard after clipping the coupons and stuff.
