A couple of days ago I was in my local Rexall (Scarborough) and found Crest whitening toothpaste on clearance for $0.96. I went to use my $1 tear pad coupon and the cashier questioned 'how to do this because the item was less than the coupon'. I also had a $0.46 mini egg on the counter for any overage this may produce. The manager was called and instead of entering the coupon, she changed the price of the toothpaste to $1 each.
Is that acceptable?!This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaplus, Rexall PharmaPlus

They run into issues typing the coupon in as less as they are reimbursed for the full amount, so rather than refuse the coupon, enter the product at the coupon amount.
You are lucky, my rexall just refuse them

Last week I was at a different Rexall and found Dial body wash for $1.98 and I had a insert coupon for $2 off. I went to use it and the cashier was going to put the $2, I told her that I was okay with her changing the price to $2, the manager then came over and told her to put it at $2.
Now that i know that store policy/issue with overage, I can move on
haha
