Thread: Just a 20x question

I went to do my 20x shop today at Shoppers and am always confused how it works. I was always on the understanding that if you spent $50.00 (your subtotal) before tax and coupons you would get the points. My subtotal today before tax was over $60. I handed her my coupons which brought the subtotal down to around $45.00 so she made my buy an additional item to make the subtotal $50.00. Is this correct?
I think I did well regardless
Spent $59.00
Saved $70.00 - "total saved" from receipt
and used $16.00 in coupons
and got a little over 13,000 pts.
P.S. Cant seem to locate my receipt atm lolThis thread is currently associated with: Shoppers Drug Mart

Nope, like everyone on here will tell you....DON'T LISTEN TO THE CASHIERS!!! If you spend over $50 before tax, all your coupons count towards your total if they're entered in as 2001 (cents off coupons). Most cashiers won't believe you until they actually see a receipt (and even then they'll still think it's a glitch
)
If they're put in as 2002 (FPCs), then it is not counted towards your total, but they shouldn't be put in like that unless they make a mistake.
I spent $52.39 before tax and coupons, and $31 before tax and after coupons and got 10,400 points. The cashier was skeptical, but the computer treats coupons like cash.Last edited by happy_me24; Sat, Jun 15th, 2013 at 10:17 PM.

I've had a cashier tell me to bring my total up before too, but I just told her I don't want anything else (I was under by $8 after coupons) and she was like "you won't get your points!". So she completed the transaction and then took my receipt and looked at it....the confusion on her face was priceless lol!
I just tell them to finish the transaction and that I don't care about the points lol, it's so much easier!
