That's funny because I do most of my crockpot cooking during the winter! LOL And almost every Sunday!

We BBQ almost daily in the summer for the same reason - too hot to cook indoors!

I look forward to seeing some shared crockpot recipes!

DH got a new BBQ for Father's Day, WOO!



I don't have any crock pot recipes to share I've only ever really made pulled pork and chilli in it...which is never the same, lol. I've made some side dishes in there but nothing to brag about, lol. I'm really looking forward to trying the ones mentioned though - I want to start using it at least once a week..there are some days when I just do NOT feel like cooking dinner.

On another note...where the heck is everybody? Seems like the train section has been dead-zo lately. I guess the weather is getting nicer and it'll officially be summer soon!

You girls need to be using that crock pot. It is awesome. I got one 15 years ago as a shower gift from my mil. I am now separated and have a new DBF and still use it a couple times a month!!!
I think lizard queen posted this one in the pampered ladies train and I found it on Pinterest.
Put chicken in crock pot. Sprinkle stove top on top. Mix cream of whatever soup and a cup of sour cream and pour over. Cook high for 4 hrs low 6-8 and poof super yummy meal. Just make some veggies and you r done!! Lol

Lol! at your bbq cartoon Venuila. At our house, I am the one that does the bbqing. I'm just better at it that dh (but don't let him hear me say that, hurts his male pride a little). This is ironic, as when I met him, I couldn't grill anything without burning/overcooking it. I learnt from him and have more patience for it.

In the summer, we bbq a lot as I too try to avoid heating up the house too much. We bbq lots of things, not just meat. Do lots of veggies, and even some fruit. Dh is allergic to fresh fruit, but can eat cooked fruit, so grilling fruit is a solution for us. On Tuesday, grilled a couple of pork tenderloins, as well as some fresh figs. After grilling, topped the figs with some goat cheese and sprinkled with balsamic vinegar. They were sooooo good! Next time, I think I will add a bit of chopped fresh rosemary too. I planted some in my first ever vegetable garden this year.

I love Pinterest for recipe ideas too. It's mostly what I use it for. Makes a great visual recipe box.

I have some shopping to do this weekend, so not ready to ship mine yet. Also, will be away for a few days early in week, so I am predicting that I will be mailing in the last few days leading up to mailing deadline. Sorry buddy, you are going to end up waiting. Hope it won't be too painful.

well I didn't get any shopping done this evening as planned.....instead had to run to the vet with one of our dogs he is ok, but the surgery he was scheduled to have on Tuesday is going to happen tomorrow instead.

he has two lumps, one in his ear and one just outside of the same ear that look like giant blood blisters. They haven't really been an issue, but tonight he was playing with out other dog and the one burst open! i got home from work to DH holding a wad of paper towel to the ear to stop the bleeding. Off to the vet we went!

The vet wrapped his ears to stop the bleeding (apparently he could have lost a dangerous amount of blood if it didn't stop) and we are heading back in the morning to have the lumps taken off!

om goodnes that is terrible but I'm so glad you DH was there what an ordeal, although it sounds like he will be ok, praying all is well after they are removed
