Thread: Home Outfitters sucks

Went into Home Outfitters in Halifax, NS today as they were advertising a clearance sale. Picked up about 50 bucks worth and when I went through the cash every thing was fine until they punched in a hamburger maker. It was with all the BBQ items which had 50% off everything. For some reason even though about 20 of these makers were with the BBQ section it was not considered BBQ. So I dropped all the items and walked away. Tried to contact them on their site but my computer said the website security certificate was revoked and advised me to close it down immediately. Is this another Zellers in the making!!!!

Can't really trust what's in the clearance section in any store. You never know what gets thrown in there by accident. Why didn't you just leave the hamburger maker and get the rest of the 50% off items???...or you should of asked the store manager. (that day) You probably would of got a sale price on the item if you complained in store.

I used to work at Home Outfitters, and if you would have told them that all those hamburger makers were in the section, chances are the manager would have approved to give it to you for 50% off. Not sure why you just left all the items there, guess you had your reasons...but that's just my opinion...

:s not to sound rude or anything, but you basically made a big deal over nothing. Things get mixed up in clearance sections all the time; if there were more hamburger makers in that section, chances are the manager would have given it to you 50% off and then moved the rest of them out of there. I worked at Zellers and that's exactly what we did. You didn't have to drop everything because one item was an error, I'm sure what you picked up was worth buying in the end.

I would have just bought the other items. However speaking of Home Outfitters, I used to get amazing clearance deals there and I went in the other day and was just disappointed in general. I didn't think anything was a great price even though most things in the main aisles were an extra 30% off clearance prices.
