Ok, some *just for fun* predictions for the Canadian teams, west to east coast:

Canucks: by December new coach Tortorella finally blows a gasket with the media, unable to adapt to scrutiny of a hockey mad country . A healthy Kesler and a 'something to prove' Luongo has them near the top again.
Oilers: Nail Yakupov does another victory slide, this time taking out a referee. Despite being in the new big, tough Pacific Division they will have improved over last year
Flames: by November Brian Burke is the new GM and adds truculence... to the goalie position and signs Tim Thomas. By December they have a twitter war over Olympic politics. Young Sven Baertschi shines with more added ice time.
Jets: Shortly after the season starts, the somewhat trimmed down Dustin Byfuglien suddenly inexplicably bloats up again. They keep up with the Wild, the Hawks and the Avalanche all season. Playing in a Canadian city Setoguchi falls back in love with hockey and has a career year.
Leafs: finally signed, Kadri seems to get targeted on the ice more, lots of injuries. Goalie battle for half a season, then new goalie Jonathan Bernier takes over #1 goalie spot. With this new realignment they hover around mid pack for most of the season.
Senators: Bobby Ryan becomes a fan fave... until the winter Olympics. Erik Karlsson resumes his spectacular form and respectfully shuts down Alfredsson each time they play the Wings.
Canadiens: George Parros' mustache gets accidently scraped off by an errant skate and, like Sampson and his hair, Parros' strength is gone.
Carey Price regains his focus, drive and reminds us all of why he deserves to go to Sochi next spring.
