The other day, a man in his 50s (or 60s) came to sit next to me. He opened the Metro newspaper on a page with Kelly Clarkson's photo. He had this page open during the whole trip (40mins). I was on my guard and already had a plan if he tried anything, like his hand "accidentally" touching me. Anyway, he got off before me.
A few days later, SAME man sat next to another woman, open the SAME newspaper on the SAME page with the photo.

So we went to Swiss Chalet for Fathers Day - We called in advance to ask if we could make a reservation as we had 11 people dining, they said no we do not take reservations its first come first served - So we all get ready and meet up at the restaurant - So me, DH, kidlets (3,5,14) meet MIL FIL SIL BIL SIL and Cousin at the restaurant at 4:45 - by 5:15 the kids were getting restless. Then I overhear the manager tell the hostess to get a table of 9 ready for the 5:30 reservation (HUH?) So of course I get up and say hey what about our table of 11 - I thought you don't take reservations? The manager looked at me and said no we don't I never said that - Ya ok I'm a moron - So now its 5:30 and this women walks up to the podeum and says Hi I'm here for my reservation at 5:30 - OK come on - So DH and I got quite upset and went back up and cause a fuss - still no reservations available we must beconfused - whatever We sat back downand DD 3 had to go to the bathroom right as they are seating a table of 6 who came in way after us - I see where they sit them at a table for 6 right next to two empty tables for 2 which could have been put together to fit our party - SO now I am right out of my mind - The hostess brings us out appys to eat in the waiting area - Thanks but no thanks I'd like my table - Finally at 6:15 we get a table for 8 with 11 chairs around it - I guess we were the lucky party that was chosen to bang elbows all night.


Our server (who was fabulous) came and took our orders fairly smoothly - And brought us our drinks to start - Then the wait for the food began - and what a lokng wait it was apparently the didn't expect alot of people on Fathers Day?? and they did not have enough rottisserie chickens so we had to wait for the entire chicken to cook!! Hey lets order another drink while we wait right - the first ceaser tasted so good I'll have another - Nope sorry mame we have run out of Clamato! Whatever - So finally after an hour or so wait our food arrives - And every plate was mixed up and wrong - half had to be sent back and fixed!The food was ok - the ribs were super tough and the chicken was a little under done. But over all not bad.

The server (REID) who was amazing under the circumstances came after our meals and said desert is on the house due to all the mix ups - great I really wanted to try the Lemon Merange Pie that I saw at all the other tables - Until he came back and said sorry the Lemon Merange Pie is still frozen!!


Like what a crappy "Special" Fathers Day Dinner out - I can't imagine I'll eat at Swiss Chalet again!
