i agree.. i'm irritated that i used to smoke.. i quit about 13 years ago, now cigarette smoke makes me ill

Well this isn't a little thing, but it sure does irritate me. The fact that my husband is made to feel he is forever indebted to his Dad just because he's his son. It's not like we wouldn't drop everything to help him if it was an emergency. And we don't have an issue helping out with other things too. But we can literally never say no without a big speech about how we just don't want to help and we are being ungrateful and inconsiderate. Even when his Dad has known for 6 months that he would need help with something, he has money to pay someone to help him (he runs a small business and can absolutely pay to hire someone, but refuses to) and he was told months ago that we wouldn't be able to help, we are still expected to drop everything and help anyways! So now our long weekend is totally down the cr**per AND my oldest son has to miss his soccer game. So frustrating. And I can't say anything, because it's not my Dad, and my husband won't say anything because "it just starts an argument and then my Dad won't want anything to do with us after." Yeah well, I could live with that lol
