Ok I had to go do some research and I found the movie I watch with Sean Connery..... Drum roll please...... He'll Drivers released in 1957.... My mom wasn't even born then but I also found the other hottie that I would have to claim an infatuation with..... So I know some of you have dealt with either yourself or loved one ect with cancer and don't want to swing the mod down but needed to ask a question. As most are aware my dad has Amyloidosis and Myeloma(cancer)....the Dr's give him 2 months to 1 year. The problem I have having is how to deal with his depression he has good day and bad but his bad days just make me want to go home and cry. The thought of himself passing really brings him down. He tends to go in a shell doesn't want to have dinner with us ect which is frustrating because when he isn't in Keswick for appointment he lives two hours away. He tends to make jokes that sometimes are hurtful even though I try to tell myself he isn't in the right mind set....like this isn't a wake I am not dead yet. I just not sure how to handle it. I am not sure if his mind set/ memory loss is due to this since both diseases are fairly rare. He is not taking chemo doing a Natural Path treatment but his dr.s are worried about his protein being to high which will shut down his organs so this is weighing heavy on him.

Kim I can really relate on how you are feeling.....Lloyd's dad passed away last year from metastasized prostate cancer and he was really depressed and chose not to take any treatments. It was really trying on the whole family but I thought it was best to let him feel what he was feeling and just tell him that we were there for him. We were the only ones that would sit with him and let him cry, laugh, be angry and just hold his hand. Most times he would just stare at the ceiling but I would go and talk to him and hold his hand even if he was miserable but I thought it best that he know that we loved him......he was a very hard man and didn't show much love to his family. He did tell us that he loved us because we let him feel and just be. It was hard to do but the best we could do because we new he wasn't well we wanted him to have peace with us to let him know we would be OK and then it would be a little easier for us to. I don't know if I helped but I hope so!!!!
