Thread: PCPlus Sub-Forum?
-

Would it be possible to have a sub-Forum under here like Shoppers has, for PC Plus Points, so that everyone can try to wrap their heads around it all in one spot, and put PC Plus content in their own posts instead of one big long thread you have to wade through? I am not sure if that is something that can be done, but it seems like PCPlus has some real potential, and maybe should have its own forum?

Yes, I saw that, and it was actually the reason I asked about a sub-forum. I am having difficulty wading through it and trying to figure out how this thing works. The Shoppers forum is so nice and straight forward, and individual threads make it so much easier to keep current deals straight.
I have no idea who does these things though, or how. Just thought I would put it out there.

YES PLEASE! I Love that Check Out 51 has its own weekly thread, and I think PC points will be thread worthy as well!
Keep Smiling!

I totally agree! Now that more stores are participating and we will be able to PM there will be so much more info to gather regarding point promos and price comparison. Great idea!!

I've had PC Plus since May. It's not a great program so far. This could be because it was only at Loblaws in Ontario. It is supposedly personalized, but in reality they send me deals every week for stuff I would never buy
The ridiculous deals at Superstore this week and next are likely because of the launch. The deals may dry up in a few weeks. Maybe best to wait and see if they continue for longer than a few weeks? I'd hate for mods to do all the work to start a new forum that doesn't get used because the program becomes crappy
If the program keeps up its potential, I think a sub forum is definitely usefulApply every possible promo code to your cart, at every store that you visit (and get points for cash back on top of that?). It's sweet and easy with HONEY.

My local grocery store is a Loblaws so I have also been a member of PCPlus since May and love it. I agree that the offers this week that that superstore has on are to draw in people since it has now become much broader and that the in store offers will become less as the program becomes more popular but my real draw to this program is the personal offers. Each week I have had great offers. There are always offers on fruits and vegetables which is a real draw for me as there are hardly any coupons available for these products. As well as the offers on fresh meat that I receive are great. For example this week I have get 1500 points for every $4 spent on maple leaf, that is at least a $1.50 off each package before I even use coupons. The only bonus points I have this week for products that arn't fresh is 700 points for every 6 pack of Canada Dry I buy.
I love the fact that you can use each offer as much as you want as well, this can be really beneficial. This summer they had a promotion on before the long weekend that if you spent $80 you got 20000 points. That is instantly 25% back.
I think one of the reasons that I am receiving personal offers that I actually use is that I do shop there a lot and that they do have a wealth of information about my shopping habits to draw from.
I hope they continue this program for a while and I vote in favour of a sub-forum!!

Like others, I think the offers will not be as exciting in a few weeks once they have enticed people to sign up, apart from SDM no other program has its own subforum, I think a weekly deals thread in the flyers forum is a great idea though
