So, I tried something today at the self checkout.
With all the xmas clearance that may (including me) have been raving about, I took it to the next level.
Since many clearance items were $0.05 or $0.10, I rang them in separately for extra coupons.

There`s nothing wrong with paying separately. I wouldn`t do it though cause it`s too time consuming.

I've broken up an order into smaller chunks at self checkout. Sometimes it's for a MIR. Sometimes I'm donating an item. So I don't think it's "scamming" to have small orders. I also will group items for payment with cashiers if I need to.
Target wants to get rid of clearance stuff.
They want you to come back to shop - the extra receipt with a coupon.
They have not specified a minimum spend - there are stores that do. Spend $50 at Northern Reflections ... get $25 off your next purchase in xyz.

I don't see anything wrong with this. You can be a customer 20 times if you wanted. I personally would do this too if there was a high value coupon I know I would use. Way to go thanks for sharing

I've never used the self checkout @ Target b4 but your brag has certainly motivated me to do so..You paid for the items, no posted notice as to terms & conditions of using self checkout & you could break up your purchases & pay separately, or hide stuff in store & pretend to 4 get something & go back for them & pay @ a different cashier, so you are using the system wisely. Question- are you getting the same coupon each time or are they different coupons?

You are smart. I do the same if I want more than I coupon that I will use. It is no different than going into the store more than once to get a great deal that has a limit of 1 per customer

nothing wrong with that- if you have multiple items you can do as many transactions as you'd like! PS jealous that your self checkout actually works!

Every week Target prints out a new weekly coupon with your order.
This week was $1 off Lysol products excluding wipes.
It's the same coupon for one week. This week it's $1 off Lysol products excluding wipes.
Then on Friday, it will change to a new one.WHATT, You aren't doing Swagbucks? http://swagbucks.com/refer/acosta22

Absolutely nothing wrong with that!!! I hardly shop at target since it's a good 30 mins drive so I didn't know that they printed out new coupons every week. If there was a coupon that I really wanted I'd do separate transactions too. WTG!!!

Thanks for posting I did not realize they were coupons I thought they were the debit slip transaction
. No chashier ever pointed it out to me. I could have gotten a whackload if I did each item individually the last few days with what I bought there. lol
I probably would not pay for things individually but there is no harm if you have the time go for it.
