The new shoppers flyer indicates that the fusion razor is on sale for 6.99. Now if I use my $10 off coupon would the remaining amount cover the taxes? or would they only punch in 6.99 as the coupon value? I have read posters having difficulty with over the value coupons at shoppers, so wanted some advice before going there. Or would it be better to pricematch at walmart?

Actually, I always used my Fusion coupon at SDM while they were on sale and they would punch in $10. As long as you're buying something else, you technically shouldn't have a problem. They get reimbursed the value of the coupon regardless of what they write on there (except for the FPCs where they specifically have to put the amount in).

Read the fine print, coupon says the $10 includes taxes.

I'm worried that is what is going to happen to me. I really don't want to pay the taxes.

You sometimes have to be assertive and point out exactly what it says on the coupon (in the fine print).. that taxes are included in the face value of the coupon.

There cash registers will not let them take a coupon for more than the total of your purchases before taxes so make sure you have something else that brings you total before taxes over $10.

When I used mine at Shoppers, they wouldn't punch it in as a $10 coupon, but they did use it like an FPC....so I didn't pay any taxes. I was totally fine with that... I guess they all just make up their own rules.

I think it totally depends on the cashier. I have used the $10 coupons @ SDM when the razors were on sale and they have always entered the full coupon amount.
Just luck of the draw I think.

most of the SDM in toronto centre will not even accept them... at least the 5 I've been to.. once the lady told me to come back to buy it when it's not on sale..
it definitely depends on the cashier. up north it gets better, I've had them take off the full $10 : )

I just got back from Shopper's. I was able to sue the coupons and they deducted $10 for each coupon used. I had to make sure my total before taxes was over $0. Didn't see anything else I really wanted so I didn't take advantage of the 20X offer.
