My local store have marked down beauty on weekends and Monday when I have been in the store and food pretty much every day going by this thread so I really do not think the US system applies (their coding on red tags does not either)

have noticed different Target stores might have the same item reduced by 50% and at another store it might be 70% off already.

DH got a bright idea and said maybe you could price match a receipt from one Target to another Target. We checked their coupon policy and no go. Was all excited for a little while, LOL.

Wait a minute, DH checked online but I didn't. Did he read it wrong?
price match guarantee
If you buy a qualifying item at a Target store then we’ll match the price if you find the identical item for less in the current or following week’s Target flyer or any competitor’s local printed flyer. Price match may be requested at Guest Services prior to your purchase with proof of current lower price or by bringing in your original Target store receipt and proof of the current lower price.

Remember to check prices before going to the check out
the Sunrype snacks were still scanning in at $2.99. Also had a pleasant surprise when I checked the price on Belvita. I was already excited to pay only 84 cents for these after the $1 from CO51, but they actually came up as $1.28. Only the blueberry kind was on clearance. Also used $1 off for Mio and paid only 74 cents!

Their checkouts are the worse for not scanning at the sale price. Bought 2 boxes of snack bars for $3-something that were supposed to be $1 and change. Didn't notice until I was home. GRRRR.

No matter which store, always check before you leave. I shopped at Target, Food Basics, SDM, Rexall and Walmart this week and every single one of them needed a price adjusted at cash, the cashier caught it at Rexall and Target (both stores were clearance deals with stickers) but the others I SCOPed. You can save a fortune by checking and getting the price reduced/SCOP as necessary because most times you don't want to go back and can't prove the sticker etc was there later anyway

Today I wasn't allowed to use coupons on any of the clearance items I was lucky enough to find. I've never had this problem before and asked for a manager. The cashier went ahead to say that he was in charge of the area and that Target loses money when they allow coupons on clearance items. Anyone else have this issue?

First of all I HATED Target a few months ago, now I'm LOVING it and addicted to this thread! Way to win me over Target

Secondly the Kashi Cereal I purchased the other day for $1.49 rang up at $4.99. Luckily I was at the self checkout and noticed it right away. Definitely watch what the clearance prices are ringing up at.

Why will they lose money -- they reimburse the coupons from the manufacturers, right?
