So I just came back from Target. The Clean and Clear body wash was reduced to $2.99, so I took a couple to use with the coupon and the cashier said that they can't because the value of the coupon is more than the item. I told her to adjust it and she said "then you would get it for free". " we only accept coupons if the price of the item is more than the coupon", so I asked her to call the manager. The manager took a look at the coupon and said
"because on the first line it says FACE VALUE that means you're not allowed to use it on clearance items".
Can someone clarify please? It seems it's just different excuses to not let you get free products? I told the cashier that the store would get it's money back from the manufacturer, but she said we're not allowed.

Go to a different Target. I was able to use 3 coupons with no issues. They are making up their own rules. The coupons can be used on clearance items and the store would definitely get their money back from the manufacturer.

they do however say for printables

We do not accept internet coupons for free items with no purchase requirements.

This means FPCs but they can interpret it for cents off given how it is written

Interesting. i would counter with that you're not actually getting it for free. I consider coupons to be a form of tender at the cash when stores accept them. on many receipts coupons are listed as a form of payment. so you really are paying $2.99 or whatever, but the amount is paid by coupons...

Found the Camino bars, almond butter and Camino hot chocolate today, but all of the Seventh Generation was regular price - hope the Niagara Falls store marks this down soon. I also got some Tom's of Maine individual soap bars for $1.49.

Just to clarify - was it the Quaker Wheat Bran or the Quaker Oat Bran. Wheat bran is usually less expensive, even the regular price. It is really rare for them to put Oat Bran on sale.

I was buying other things, but as soon as the cashier saw the coupon she said no. Maybe I should take a copy of their coupon policy with me next time.
Still, I think they will interpret it the way they want to.

I saw the Tom's of Maine soap too. I think it is really expensive at the RCSS Natural Value section.

Quaker hearty oatmeal in Banana Nut flavour 1.49 (Used buy 4 get one free coupon)

The register was also giving out $1 off coupon for Quaker oatmeal. Could get even better deal if you throw that into the mix.

Here are my findings for today Feb 9, 2014 Centerpoint Mall Target, apologies for some repeating previously reported clearance deals, for example I know the Jamie Oliver shakers have been mentioned previously. I guess he will take his products to any store/s (did everyone see his dishes, bowls being promoted at Sobey's Urban Fresh in the last 3 months) that is willing to sell them? Take note how dirty the cans look in some photos! The last two photos have clearance stickers but they are no deal! The Delissio pizza is $4.xx, we all know these regularly go on sale for $3.99. The scrubbing bubbles also seems very high for a clearance price.

I've actually used FPC's at Target without realizing that they "don't accept them"! (They accepted them) Although it's a better deal to use them elsewhere, because they didn't take off the price including tax where some other stores do.
