    Floral department:

Valentine’s roses pink stickered at 50% off. Will use the canes to make rose bushes as this guy did in his video.*
Awesome! My mom used to do the same and it always worked. Hope you will succeed with yours, too

    Yay for your Mom.
Each stem is in it's own 1.L bottle ($1.19 clearance for 6 x 1.5 L at Target). Will dry the rose petals for potpourri. This time in March, should have some roots (semi-hardwood, like roses, take time to root).

Even if you have a small patio or balcony where you live, you can still have roses in containers.

And I like your user name. Morning rose.

"Bloblaws" is beating "Tarjay" when it comes to Valentine's deals IMHO. A big YMMV. Saw up to 90% off on Bloblaws Lindor chocolates and Smarties. Tarjay was still at 50% off.

Bloblaws is also discounting items left from Chinese New Year sales promotions. The rice crispy like product was reduced to $0.24 and THEN pink stickered -- now $0.12.

Further reductions in Bloblaws floral department on cut flowers, but also on potted plants from Chinese New Years and some beginning reductions on potted plants for Valentines (mini roses).

    Hmmm. Bloblaws vs Tarjay.
    Who would have thunk it.

I don't care. So long as the Shwa Girl wins.

    Let the games begin!!

I have rooted roses this way too. The next winter will tell if they are hardy enough to survive though. Many big blooming varieties are grafted onto hardier root stalks, which bloom far differently that the top half. If you get them through the winter and into the ground in the spring, pile lots of soil/mulch on them in the fall to keep them warmer. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated.
Tried to stick with "primary colours" - red and white.
There were fancy orange and blush pink and pink white ones. I am hoping that the "primary colours" roses are hardier.

    If they survive -- great.
If not, oh well, they were free with points

    Thanks.
The Independent gas deal is the total of the order before tax.
Coupons are a form of payment. So, it is before coupons. Also before points are added. And before the Auto Cash coupons are used.

Great question. And nice that our DH is looking at working this deal too.

    Glad to help.

I think, when the trial period ends in April, we will see this deal again. I think they use this at grocery stores and KMart in the states.

Remember? Big Gas Prices commercial from KMart
