It's a good idea to see if a senior family member or friend is shopping on Thursday with their card! You might save on an item by shopping with him or her!

Mom saw a pricey item she'd like to try. I gave her a mission to return on Thursday with her friend, who has the card, to buy it then.

Do the cashiers check ID or do they just believe you when you tell them that you are a senior?

At my local stores it's 55, but I do believe there is not a standard - it's up to the store (although from what I've read for most stores it's 55).

They do not check ID....but maybe if you look young you'll have to prove it. It's up to the cashier to enter the discount. At least that's how it is at my local stores, YMMV.

The age seems to vary for senior status. YMMV seems to apply, as SCers have reported different age limits apply to their stores. Don't know if Mom's friend's card has been stickered as I have not shopped with them-good to know the sticker detail!
The fine print for Senior's Day allows someone shopping with a senior to benefit from the discount too. Quite certain the item will be bought by the friend with Mom's money and friend's card. Win-win.

The sticker is another YMMV. My mom doesn't have a sticker on her card.

Mom's friend asked at cash about 20% and she got it off the purchase. Cashier hadn't heard about the sticker on card, though.
There was a special on L'Oreal Hair Expertise items but the one she wanted was shown in the flyer (overwrap, the short bottle) was not stocked. Has anyone in Hamilton seen that lilac short bottle in stock? Did not have time to go to Ancaster Meadowlands to try their store.

There was a L'Oreal product we could not find on the shelf as many of the Hair Expertise product line items were on sale. I noticed online that the US version of Total Repair Extreme Split Ends fixer is in a gold packaging. Canadian version is red/lilac. Has anyone seen this product in Hamilton stores? $3.99 is a good price to chase down before flyer ends.

20% seniors discount also applied on flyer deals or only on regular priced items. I know some time we receive a personalize 20% discount its only for regular priced item. If seniors discount is open to flyer deals i will try it with my neighbor aunt.
