Good afternoon and happy St Patrick’s days. Dam this bad stretch keeps going and going. Furnace died yesterday afternoon. Found someone to come in, had an appointment for between 4:00 and 8:00 yesterday, he came in for 10 minutes said he would have to order the part and would have to come back tomorrow. Another guy came back with the new part today, but after installing it he said he need another part and he would have to order it and they would install whenever it came in the next few days. As you could guess I was not too happy at that comment. Called the supervisor and impressed on him the urgency of the situation. He sounded sincere and they will try to get it done today. Not holding my breath and it should be a little warmer tonight. We do have five little electric heaters but we kept getting them on the same circuit and blowing the breaker.

Good afternoon. Go the call late yesterday afternoon that they had the new part and they were coming straight over to fix it. I got home around 5:30 and he was just fishing up. He was the normal parts guy but he used to be a technician so he said he would do it on the way home. Nice guy. The company is Direct Energy. Yesterday on the way back from the first repair and upon seeing the crack in the panel I stopped at Home Depot and bought a new Carbon Monoxide Detector.

More big changes at 102.1 the Edge
After recently relaunching its Sunday-afternoon programming block as a retro-’80s nostalgia trip, local alternative-rock outpost 102.1 the Edge is still tinkering with its line-up in the post-Blundell era.
Today, the station revealed the team that will replace the recently turfed morning man in the 5:30-10 a.m. weekday slot: Q107 exile Dominik Diamond, Edge veteran Josie Dye, and comedian Greg Beharrel (who currently works an evening shift at the station). The shake-ups continue throughout the daily schedule: Picking up midday (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) host duties will be returning Edge personality Carlos Benevides, while Fearless Fred‘s afternoon drive-time show (2-7 p.m.) will now feature sidekick Melani “Mel” Mariani. And long-time weekend man Adam Ricard will take over the 7 p.m.-midnight slot on weekdays.
The new line-up takes effect on Monday, March 31.
