Hi fellow couponers! I am new to couponing and thought it may be fun to post about deals found locally. I find many of the posts on SC are focused more on Ontario deals....so I was hoping people may want to share some deals found here in Halifax to help each other. I can start with a few recent deals, target van houte coffee on clearance for 3.17 a bag, minus 3 coupons, 0.17 a bag!!!! Heinz baby cereal at target on clearance for 1.24, minus 1 coupon, 0.24!! Hoping to hear more local deals!

i bought a phillip's mens shaver at target in bedford on clearance for $34 and used the smartsource printable $20 to get it for $14. Yippee! other than the shaver I haven't found much lately. Anyone else???

majesty toilet paper is on sale at superstore for 2.88. With $1 coupon from the until ever insert it is 1.88 for 8 rolls! Also Lysol no touch hand soap system is 9.99 at superstore, this week get 5000 PC points ($5). There is a $5 coupon on save.ca. Also a mail in rebate on the Lysol Canada site, so actually a money maker!

SCOPED today at Superstore. PC brand stainless steel mixing bowl set (5 bowls) clearance for $15.00, scanned $20.00 at check out. Took receipt to customer service and got another 10.00 off for scop , in the end 7.25 including taxes for the set of mixing bowls.

There are several new carts of reduced items at the front of Joe Howe Superstore - all types of hair products too many brands to mention, some food items such as nuts, chocolate bars, juices.

Today at Walmart I bought Crisco shortening $2.00 minus 1.00 off coupon = $ 1.00 each
(the coupons I used were tearpad ones I had from a while ago, not from the baking booklet)

Anyone looking to paint walls, trim, etc....Walmart (Bayers Lake) marked their Hometreads paint (3.78l) down from $23.97 to $18.00 last night at 7:30pm (I was there when the staff changed the price).

I bought a can of the semi-gloss to do my doors/trims and will give it a try....worst case is if I don't like how it performs, I can simply return the remaining paint for a full refund.

On a side note, the LOOP pre-tinted paid ($16.88 for 3.78 litres) is excellent. Used it in the spare bedroom and it covered perfectly with a nice flat finish. I plan on using it for the other rooms in the house. Why pay $40-$60 for paint at other stores when something affordable works just as well.
