I just downloaded this one and will give it a try.
It does say no purchase necessary on the scan-able items, so I guess you can scan what you have at home or what you see in a store. Was going to try, but don't have any of those items (French's is the wrong size). They aren't worth that many points compared to something like a HBC purchase. I think each scanned item is worth about $0.05, although my math could be off (and more if you save up to the 2nd redemption level)..

how does scan offer works?
Is it like you take picture and upload at home? I don't have wifi so it doesn't work for me if it needs to be uploaded at store right there.

Scanned the items today while at Walmart. You just hold your phone's camera up to the barcode and it reads and awards points right away if it's the right product. It told me the first Pringles I scanned was the wrong product, but the second one worked. Unfortunately (or fortunately I guess), I didn't spend $40 so not sure how that part works.

You need to make sure it is the correct product
The Pringles offer for example show the plain type but the weight is off, salt & vinegar worked
I couldn't find the correct size Ragu at the size requested but did the other 3 and got instant points. It is not exactly like Fresh Points since you can only scan the sponsored items not just everything in your cupboard.
Since you scan just the barcode, there is no way for them to know if you are in the store, it does require location to show you nearby stores but it did not show as active when I was scanning
I uploaded my receipt the same way I would for checkout51 and already got points

I posted two receipts today - one for a $40 shop at Walmart and one for $5 at Mcdonalds and got my points.
