its not much shoppers gift cards always give points any time of year. I think 500 points on 50$ card.. (correct me if im wrong)
quite honestly except when this promo is on. target gives better discounts on giftcards (and if they sold SDM giftcards would be better off getting it there except during this promo than the few points, however i dont believe they do)
Last week giftcards at target were 15% off (with red card, no minimum). so this giftcard promo is actually worse unless the cad tire promo is combinadable.

I see in fine print of the 8000 points offer not combinadable with any other offer so buy with risk. (or confirm if its allowed with SDM call centre/facebook maybe first..) so you can argue it later if you dont get the points..

That would give me 2,000 points right away and then 8,000 when they award the bonus points. Still good deal but not as good as last year's.

The 2000 BP should be given immediately, it is the 8000pts for the $200 spent that you have to wait for. So if you buy 4 $50 CT GC and get 8000 pts on your receipt then it will work and you will get another 8000pts the next week

Just thought of a trick that MIGHT work.....

1. Buy $200 in SDM GC to start.
2. Buy $100 in CT GC and pay with SDM GC.
3. Buy $100 in CT GC and pay with SDM GC.

Points should be as follows:

1. 2000 pts for SDM GC
2. 4000 pts for CT GC.
3. 4000 pts for CT GC.

That should give you the 10,000 in store, than the rest later as I am told they should be.. I am thinking that may work. I think I did something similar a few months ago and it worked like a charm.

The alternative would be use different Optimum Cards and than do a point transfer after the points are awarded. Where there is a will, there is a way!!!!

The Canadian Tire bonus points will NOT be awarded. Apparently it's a misprint and should not have been included in this weeks flyer. Look for a correction notice in the gift card aisle of your SDM.

You mean the 2000 bonus points?????? Hmmmmph! There goes my whole gift idea! Well I guess it is 3.00 Coke and some cookies for me than. Better than nada I suppose.
