There's no commission.
You can sign up on your own or have an invite from someone - there's a small one time bonus for finding someone -about 200 credits (about 10 cents) and then a bonus when they sell the first item (10% or something). This comes from listia NOT the seller.
You sometimes get bonus credits for listing auctions - it shows up on your profile page. You can earn credits by selling stuff. You can do some of the offers that people do on swagbucks etc to earn credits.
I think for most people you can get 49 credits each day for sharing an auction on facebook.
Gift cards are sold for 15x their value in credits. So a $5 card will usually for 7500 to 10,000 credits.
Listia makes money on ads, it's own auctions, and it has "entries" to win prizes - use listia credits to enter.

Well here is a new listing:
Three Stouffers codes with their UPCs plus GIN
http://www.listia.com/auction/205632...s-for-canadian
So when did Listia stop allowing Free Coupons?
I tried to list one last evening and did notice that "coupons" is no longer in the Others list. But I went ahead and tried to list it and got a pop up that said coupons were not allowed on Listia!!!
On Sept 23 (I think it was) I listed three free coupons. So this new ruling must be recent.

Had a new option - get 100 credits for looking at an offer (do not have to do them). Turns out there were no offers but it still gave me 100 credits.

Don't feel bad. Someone who had lots of points was looking for something they liked and snapped it up.
Often $5 cards go for about 10,000 points, sometimes less, sometimes more.

I finally got my account in some sort of order and can now bid on things. Thanks Giving-Small.
I listed 6 mycoke pins and they were sold for 2 points. (learning experience and another badge) I gave 7 because I found one and could not guarantee it. Now the winner (because she got such a good deal) wants to relist them and needs to know which pin might be used.
How long do I have to keep the pins for her?
Thanks.

I would just hold on to them. At least they're not big. I would likely PM and say that you'll hold on to the until Nov 21 and then you'll throw them out so they need to be entered by then to catch any typos.
I would also take close up photos of all the pins to save as back up.
