Hey Q-bees..... My apologies for the copy & paste here. I'm not having an easy time right now, but this is where I am at. I will be regaining my composure & getting back to the basics, but this where I am at...
Update...
Back at the beginning of this thread, I announced that I met the criteria for the clinical trial to help me in my campaign to defend myself against this sarcoma I seem to be fighting. It is in both lungs.
Yesterday I learned that the drug is no longer working for me. My tumours have grown & we will have to go to another plan of attack.
So, as I sit here with virtually NO symptoms of lung sarcoma, kinda shaking my head, feeling a crushing sadness mixed with anger, & disbelief.....I have to pause. So......
I am taking December off. My Oncologist & my team at PMH agreed that it would be good for me to get a break from treatment. So, December will be mine. No trips into the big bad city & no jabs, scans or doctors. There is another clinical trial lurking in the ways that may be for me, but we're going to wait for a little while & let me have room to regroup & enjoy the season. So, I am looking forward to Christmas with my family & trying to leave this on the back burner for now.
This whole "issue" has been occupying my life for such a long time, now I will be doing my best to keep things on the lighter side of town.
I am a notorious fretting kind of girl, now I have to take a deep breath & find the switch to turn off the worrying.
Thanking you all for your continuing support & compassion.
Love to all!
Loocie

Oh Loocie, I'm so sorry the drug is no longer working.

However, when's the last time you had a month all to yourself ?
It's time to take a breath, regroup, and start again in the new year. You'll have a fresh perspective, won't feel so beaten down, and ready for the battle. Take the time to enjoy the holidays, all the festivities, and most importantly, your family time.

Dear Loocie, I must Mirror 22's Sentiment.
The Important Aspect is that You will have an Entire Month of Family Friends and Selfish-Time.
It is Earned and More than Deserved!!!!
"it" has not won the Game... "it" just Played an Interesting Move.
With more Clinical Trials around the Corner, Your next Move will be of Strategy, Hope, Strength and Determination.
