Hi Everyone!
Got back around 1 am this morning from the Pinery. Wow, I really lucked out weatherwise There was no rain whatsoever, even though the weatherman scared the heck out of me with all the talk of thunder boomers on Thursday etc!! Our camp site was really nice with privacy and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The water looked sooo nice yesterday I really hated to leave!!! wish I could go back for a week (or two!!!), but now the ex is on and school starts back shortly, damn summer goes sooo fast!!!! Stayed on the beach until 9 p.m. on Thurs and bar be 'd dinner. Yesterday spent the day at the beach in Grand Bend and had pizza on the beach before having to leave:sad: I really am a suck when it comes to leaving nice places!
Oh and I got an e-mail from Vinyl saying I had won the Channel #5 perfume! That's one of the things I dumped a lot of my points on when they said we had to use them up by August 1. Has anyone heard anything, it looks like they have added a few more prizes:-~
Remember it takes a college degree to fly a plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one; a reassurance to those of us who fly routinely in our jobs. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a ‘gripe sheet,’ which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS ‘ pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.
By the way, UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident.
