Sounds like it was a good show last night. Lee, you got a table, that's great. Standing is one of the reasons I couldn't go. Sparty, hope you're feeling better.
I was at an all-day milestone b/day party for a friend. Had a great time. Ate too much, but what the heck.

evening Q sters,
it was a weird weather day out. the was some freezing rain, then rain, white stuff & back to freezing rain.
Last night's concert was awesome. shared it with some great Q sters friends, Lee & her hubby, Andi, BWW, MM, Spartacus, Zedgirl, Ecat & her hubby. Sorry you couldn't make it out, Rockit. You could have scored Goddo tix when you left. they were giving them out as you left. you still have to pay $5 bucks with the tix, but it is better than paying $25 without. I would love to go, but have to work on Friday & if getting home at 2 am is any indication of the norm, then getting up at 5 to go to work, not a good idea. as far as the roads went, i was really surprised. we left just after 6 pm to pick Andi up. thought it might be a good idea, due to the supposed weather conditions, that never really materialized, & road traffic problem, that always seem to happen, expect that night, we got to Andi's around 7 pm & then got up to the Phoenix 15 mins later. even tho the Leafs were playing, there was no traffic to speak of, it was the fastest trip down town that i can remember. we could go inside right away, didn't have to stand in the cold & wind & proceed to a lounge area where you could purchase drinks while we wait till the doors to the venue opened. once the doors opened, Lee's hubby was able to procure a table & 4 chairs at the back, just behind the sound & lighting fenced off area. turned out to be good seats & it wasn't too loud either. the 1st group that took the stage was Sons of Stone, from Ottawa. they did a few songs from their past & new albums & weren't too bad at all. the 2nd group was the Dave Barrett Trio, an instrumental group. their songs reminded me of Saga & Rush combined style. it was the 3rd or 4th time that the Dave Barrett Trio has hooked up with Saga on tour. Saga came on just before 11 pm & started off with Don't Be Later. they did all the favs, as well as a few from their new album. their encore songs were Wind Him Up & the Flyer. as Lee said, didn't realized that Mike had his foot in a cast, but that would explain his lot less theatricalness & more keyboard playing, not that that was bad. pics will follow once i get them out of the camera & down loaded into the computer.
the difference in lasts night's venue & those at the SA is the acts at SA start earlier & then end earlier, then at the Phoenix. the Phoenix area wise is a bit smaller too, but there is a big second story balcony to see the show from.

Wow.... where did the years go??? I remember it like yesterday!! I think you are aging us Wolfie just like the kids do when they have another birthday (since we stopped having birthdays!!)

Just kidding.... I think that 4 years is amazing!! Quitting smoking was one of the hardest things I ever did and I am so proud to be 15 years in August.

Last night was the first time that I was at the Pheonix and I had no idea what to expect, so I wore my "gel filled" insoles in my boots since I was truly expecting to stand all night.... I was very surprised to see a few tables and chairs and I was so happy to see that hubby ran fast and snatched a few... If I didn't have seats, I would have "worked my way" to the front of the stage, but I was quite content last night to be seated at the back
