Wow, edwards that really is horrible. How can they do it, I'll never know!I'd have to keep away from those people, afraid of what I'd do to them! insensitive, uncaring bas.....!!!
and Wendark I read that article on the way home yesterday in the star about those insensitive, uncaring bas....!!!! How the hell is that colony of ferral kitties hurting them! Mind your own business! To lead coyotes to them in the hopes they will get taken by one is beyond .....I don't know I'm too mad to think!!!!!Wish I could sic one on whoever left the food!!!

Good Morning everyone - had a bad night so I'm a late riser today. It's beautiful & sunny out there but quite cold - noticed yesterday that even though the temps are way below freezing (wind chill -22C right now) the sun is getting higher in the sky and melting the ice and snow anyway - woohoo! Luv your pic Hicks - I'm counting too, but I like my calendar better - about 39 days away - yahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Thanks for the two songs that I missed - have a good day all!!!Val

From CHFI:
It was so cold . . .
…we had to stop eating with metal cutlery. Some people walked around for days with spoons or forks stuck to their tongues!
…hitchhikers were holding up pictures of thumbs!
…roosters were rushing into Kentucky Fried Chicken and begging to use the pressure cooker!
…when I dialed 911, a recorded message said to phone back in the spring!
…the optician was giving away free ice scrapers with every new pair of eyeglasses!
…kids were using a new excuse to stay up late: “But Mom, my pyjamas haven’t thawed out yet!”
….the travel agency was advertising tropical vacations in Igloolik!
…pickpockets were sticking their hands in strangers’ pockets just to keep them warm!
…the squirrels in the park were throwing themselves at an electric fence!
…I chipped a tooth on my soup!
…Grandpa’s teeth were chattering – in the glass!

I am not against hunting per say just how the hunting is done. Such as using dogs for deer hunting, baiting, etc. To me it's only a sport if they use arrows but then you get alot more wounded animals running around because people are just not as proficient with these weapons. Also would like to see it mandatory full upper body bright orange or green upper outerwear. I have a cousin in Manitoba whom I sarcastically call a great hunter. He bought a plot of land, cleared all the trees back from the centre about two hundred feet around and then planted an apple tree in the centre. He then set up blinds around the perimeter at different locations. What a real sport he is, eh?
