I'm sorry, @bargain_hunter_lola I didn't look. I was hoping to find herbs (they didn't have any yet), and my tunnel vision prevented me from noticing anything else. :/
@SavvyLady Some of the hostas varieties had 8 plants (like Sum and Substance). Same price mentioned by Shwa Girl, $14.99.Jesus saves!

No, they weren't on clearance ($14.99), which is unusual for me who never pays full price for anything LOL! I've had hostas before, but I purchased those potted. So this is somewhat new territory for me. I had read somewhere that the bulbs only last for a few weeks once bagged...I didn't want to risk waiting too long.

Thanks for the pics. That's a nice garden center -- have not seen some of those plants in Oshawa. And of course, the parking lot is full

this is the BC garden center... they might differ by province (i would not be surprised if they do... some flowers grow better in different environments and i can see them catering to that)

I thought some more about the hosta viruses. I think when you split an existing mature hosta plant in the Spring and don't clean the shovels between, that's how the virus can spread. I think that if the shovels/tools are cleaned in a dilute bleach solution, rinsed and dried before next use, the chances of spreading the virus decreases.
