Was at Loblaws this morning and at checkout near customer service was a grocery cart filled with Stock & Barrel bulk food containers with a big handwritten sign that says 24c. So I asked CS and yes they were 0.24 each, I just took 2, they expire in Nov 2015 so I don't know why they're on special, maybe nobody buys them at all, lol. At checkout, they scanned for $5.++ and I told the cashier they should be 0.24 (for a split second I thought about keeping mum but it was just 0.24 and I was buying other stuff and I wanted a 'clean' receipt). She called CS who came over and said yeah they're 0.24 so cashier voids and re-enters them. Outside the store I told DH I initially thought about SCOP but decided to let it pass as it was only worth a quarter and he was super relieved, lol. Yes, SCOP is much sweeter on more pricey stuff.

Which ones did you get? If there were almonds and cashews and such, they can go in the freezer

Just the crunch & munch mix. Didn't see any nuts or I would have gotten more.

I've made plenty of wine, a bit of beer, but never tried distilling. While distilling is illegal, apparently you probably won't get into any trouble unless you try selling the stuff.

I guess you mean illegal to distill "at home" or without the proper manufactureres licensing. I hear the fines for that can be very hefty and can include prison time too but I am not sure how much it is enforced. Hoping to drop off the supplies at his shop in the next couple days so I will let you know how it turns out.

Great shop today, first stop was IGA: Milk to go .99 x 12 - (4) $2 off wub 3 products. Also, Kelloggs Nutri-grain bars 1,99 - (5) $1 off so total was just over $10 for all that. (thanks Sunandmoon for the trade)

Then off to the independent: 7.xx for pledge floor x6 - (6) $5 pledge floor , uploaded receipts to SNAP... already had 9.xx on there so pending approval 51.xx super stoked!

Safeway had buy 3 Kellogs cereal for $12.00 and get a free 4 litre jug of milk. Plus I then cashed in airmiles so it feels like I got 3 boxes of cereal plus a jug of milk for $2.00.
