You can call the SCOP line and file a report. I've encountered that situation so many times where I didn't even get the item for free (the store didn't have any stickers posted near the registers that they participated in it) but I've taken it to customer service many times. The sticker might have been at the entrance to the store or somewhere remote.

This time, I didn't have the time or energy to debate so I called the SCOP line. I've done this (denied an SCOP) so many times at this store that I'm sure they're not educating their cashiers. It took several emails, but I had a scan of my receipt and a photo of the correct price at the shelf that clearly showed the UPC and dates when the price was valid.

Someone at SCOP got back to me and agreed that I should have received an item for free and contacted the grocery chain, who contacted the store.

Eventually, I was sent a $10 GC in the mail for my troubles about four months afterward. My email went to her junk mail accidentally, or so I've been told.

    Congratulations on your first SCOP/overage!

Oh I am not sure how do I make a complaint? Was it a hard process though? I do not have the photo of the correct price at the shelf though because cashier agreed that it was not correctly priced....even I did not know for sure about this

You have your receipt where they applied it to the one bar but not the other. Your receipt shows they inputted that other as $2 per shelf price.

Before calling the agency that deals with SCOP (that should be only as a last resort), first take that receipt in to Customer Service and point out that since it was a different UPC, it too should have had SCOP applied to it and be free as the other one was. If they won't, make sure you take it up to store manager's level if need be. Only if it is denied at the store manager level, then call and file a complaint with SCOP.

No, it wasn't a difficult process. I just called the number below and left a message. They'll call back and ask you for your story, then ask them to send a photo or scan of the receipts. They can tell you right then if it's enough to pursue the issue. Since you mentioned that you already spoke with customer service and the manager, I'm sure they can tell you right away if it's a valid claim.

UPDATE: I did call them and there was a message recording so I left a message on Friday but did not hear anything back from them. My bro and I ate the whole hazelnut bar today [well I could say he ate 60%] and it was delicious...yum yum

Well I guess I won't put too much stress on making a complaint so if I hear from them, good, if not I will leave it for sake of sweetness of chocolate.
