Looks awful Hicks. I cannot comprehend such mass slaughter?
But I don't think we have the right to judge it from our comfortable grocery store existence.

Such pictures are meant to shock us to an opinion.
Far from a fair judge of the situation.

The practice has long since been abandoned in Newfoundland.
We tried in the 50's but almost wiped them out in the matter of a few years.

They still kill about 1000 whales in the Faroe Islands.
What else do they have?
They kill them to exist.
They have been keeping records since 1584.
I would like to see the numbers before jumping to a conclusion based on a bloody picture.

What do we know about telling them how it is going?
We were the villains!

Perhaps it is that now the fish have low enough DDT and Mercury levels to make them safe to eat again.
We screwed that up too!
Not the Faroe Islands inhabitants.
