I was going to place an order, but then I read about their practice of "invalidating" free shipping if one decides to return part/all of their order resulting in a total less than $99.

For example: You spend $100 and get free shipping. You receive the order and decide you don't like one of the items, worth $20.
Because this brings your total down to $80, they'll end up deducting shipping costs- so instead of getting a $20 refund, you'll get ($20 - $7.50 shipping) = $12.50!

Apparently Reitman's is not very transparent about this.

Really? I had no idea! Is this only if you return by mail via the return shipping label they supply? I've returned a portion of my order in-store before and they didn't deduct anything extra.
