ExpiredRice Krispie treats, Special K bars etc!!!!
Hi everyone! I'm new here. Thanks so much for letting me join, I love all the amazing deals everyone finds!!
DH and I were in Walmart last night and I have a bunch of these coupons. Rice krispie treats and special K bars were on sale for 1.97.
I thought I'll give it a shot.
I got up to the cashier and she ask the manager if it was ok, the manager approved it!! She said "they are still considered cereal so we have to take them"
We got a bunch of cereal bars for .97 each, thats cheaper than no name granola bars!!!

Superstore has the `Christmas` Rice Krispie treats on clearance for $0.99, so that would make them free!

My daughter ran to Zehrs for me and didn't have a problem using them on the rice krispie treats either.
I guess its a hit and miss thing depending on the store but it might be worth trying!

I just looked and my coupon says it can be used for cereal and meal replacement items. I would consider the bars to be meal replacements...wouldn't you? I will give it a try. If they say no, they say no :D Thanks again for the idea.

i just bought some two days ago and they were still 99 . but i had gotten in an argument with the cashier about this closer to boxing day. she had said no. and i tried arguing that nothing on kellogs says meal replacement . the vector bars say nutritional supliment. which is what she thought meal replacement would mean.and everything else says cereal bar. i tried all the way to management and they say no. you can't use the 2 for 2 but there is a 2 for $1 coupon specially for rice krispy squares and other assorted bars. which i found after all that at another store.
