It takes your food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.

One human hair can support 6.6lbs.

The average man's penis is two times the length of his thumb.

Human thighbones are stronger than concrete.

    A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.

There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.

Women blink twice as often as men.

The average person's skin weighs twice as much as the brain.

Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.

If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.

Imagine soaring high above the riotous autumn colours of the Don Valley aboard a comfortable cable car that would connect the bustle of Danforth Ave. with the natural surroundings of Evergreen Brick Works on Bayview Ave.
That is the $20- to $25-million proposal for Toronto’s first gondola being floated by a private company called Bullwheel International Cable Car Corp.

Envisioned as a major tourist attraction, the Don Valley cable car could be up and running in three or four years, although that is an aggressive timeline, admits the company’s CEO. It would be built and operated without public money.

“(Gondolas) are proven technology. Our technical director is a third generation ropeway technician who’s built systems all over the world. He commissioned 10 of the lifts for the Sochi Olympics,” said CEO Steven Dale.

The gondola still needs to meet rigorous public and civic approvals, but Mayor John Tory said it could fit with his agenda “to move people any way we can.” He called the concept “exciting” and “novel.”

“I don’t know why we’d reject any means of getting people around,” he said.

Gondolas are mostly associated with ski hills, but increasingly they are being integrated into urban landscapes, said Tory.

“We’re trying to come to grips with what kinds of ways we can provide people greater access to the ravines without being too obtrusive... The concept of a cable car that goes through some land that is beautiful and scenic is very appealing,” said the mayor.

when the Alpine Way was dismantled, there was talk about getting it up & running from the Medieval Times Dinner Theatre to Ontario Place. It might have been interesting to see.
Ontario Place is in disgusting condition there is graffiti all over the place & it looks abandoned. What a shame they have left it to rot. I love the idea of the Don Valley Cable Cars......it has great potential.

We seldom see the truth in anything because our perceptions are distorted by the preconditioning of our minds.
Our minds become conditioned beginning in childhood; we are influenced by our parents, siblings, teachers, peers, political and religious organizations and leaders, and our experiences.
Sadly many never question their preconditioned thoughts, ideas, and beliefs, we attach to them as though they were the absolute truths.
Much of what we hang on to is false and serves to divide us and create suffering in us as individuals, communities, and societies. The violence and hatred of injustice, inequality, racism, and prejudices, are a result of our faulty preconditioned thinking minds.
We are not born as racists or being prejudice towards others groups different from us, that is learned; and most often learned from within our own homes.
Our perceptions of others are often based on past experiences we have had with them or based on others views of them. Because I may have had a disagreement with someone or they did not live up to my expectations does not mean they are bad people. And nor does my friends judgments of others mean those judgments are right.
We also seek out those who will support our faulty preconditioned judgments, thoughts, and beliefs. If I am racist or prejudice I will be attracted to others who share those perceptions. If I am angry at someone I will seek out others who share my views of that person or influence their views of that person to support my own.
It is all this attachment to our faulty perceptions that causes our hearts to become hardened and uncaring towards others and our world. We can never have lasting inner peace and happiness as long as we carry the afflictions of fear, hatred, jealousy, anger, envy, and greed in our hearts.
To overcome all these divisions and hardness of heart we must learn to perceive life through an unfiltered clear lens; we need to learn to question all of our thoughts, ideas, beliefs and ideologies. Without questioning and challenging all that we hold to be true, we will never grow; we will never see the truth of anything.
We must let go of all the perceptions we carry that do not serve to make us better human beings. Whatever thoughts, ideas or beliefs we hold on to that do not serve to make us more peaceful, more compassionate, loving, kind, tolerant, understanding, generous and forgiving human beings will only make us suffer.
It is our own preconditioned minds that imprison us and make us smaller as human beings. Free yourself from these attachments and allow your heart to grow open to a much better you; to your true loving, compassionate, and kind self.
Replace your cracked lenses and see yourself and your world with fresh, clear and truthful eyes. heart emoticon

One evening a man was at home watching TV and eating peanuts. He'd toss them in the air, and then catch them in his mouth In the middle of catching one, his wife asked him a question - and as he turned to answer her, a peanut fell in his ear. He tried and tried to dig it out but succeeded in only pushing it in deeper. He called his wife for assistance, and after hours of trying they became worried and decided to go to the hospital. As they were ready to go out the door, their daughter came home with her date. After being informed of the problem, their daughter's date said he could get the peanut out.. The young man told the father to sit down, then proceeded to shove two fingers up the father's nose and told him to blow hard. When the father blew, the peanut flew out of his ear. The mother and daughter jumped and yelled for joy. The young man insisted that it was nothing. Once he was gone, the mother turned to the father and said, 'That's so wonderful! Isn't he smart? What do you think he's going to be when he grows older?' The father replied, 'From the smell of his fingers, our son-in-law.

It isn't always easy to keep the faith front & centre,
I overthink a bit too much; you know I should not even enter,
There are many things to consider when you're feeling low & tired,
You have to continue to have an attitude that keeps you believing & inspired,
On the days when my energy is deficient & my drive is really lacking,
I concentrate on methods that I can just send cancer packing!
