It started out very good but then it took a strange turn. Still, I finished it and enjoyed it very much. I recommend this book

I'm reading a boook called The Aeronaut's Windlass by Jim Butcher. It's not something I would normally read but I wanted something different. I must say, it is fantastic! It's different in a very good way.
I highly recommend it.

I prefer books about adventure and imaginary things, heros, saga, dragons, fairy tales, unknown creature and so many..but I haven't read them that much because I learn most of them was from Hollywood movies, like the Golden Compass, I think the movie is OK but don't know why there is like, never a sequel? Back to the point, I find the book and read them in my kindle, used to have kindle to watch dvd to kindle fire of mine till find these books. I am now in the second books of Dark Materials trilogy, only find some photo seems good enough to put here.....

And the next book is the The Graveyard Book from Neil Gaiman

Just finished Tricky Twenty-Two by Janet Evanovich. I think I'm going to call it quits with this series. Every single book follows the same formula and it's getting old. Is it just me or is her writing is growing juvenile? Oh well. I have another one waiting for me by James Grainger called Harmless. Hopefully that one will be better.

they are all pretty much the same formula. although, i vaguely recall one involving an unicorn? or some mythical animal. that one made no sense at all.
still a funny light read for a beach afternoon.
just started norman doidge's second book - the brain that changes itself. not quite as easy as his first book but interesting.
finished carly simon's autobio - boys in trees. am i the only that didn't know her dad was the 'simon' in simon and schuster? doh!

I think it was a giraffe. They still make me LOL so I'll keep reading for now. I get where you're coming from though. There are paranormal series, for instance, that are so formulaic that it's always 1) guy meets their mate, 2) they fall in love/lust, 3) a big misunderstanding, and 4) happy ever after.
Finished Bitter Bite by Jennifer Estep.
Next up are Breakdown by Jonathan Kellerman, Brotherhood in Death by J.D. Robb, Runaway Vampire by Lynsay Sands and 15th Affair by James Patterson.

It was a giraffe. Lula named him Kevin.

I've just been reading reviews about this novel - 20, the one with Kevin - and I'm not the only one who feels this way about her books. One reviewer wrote "She needs to stop." LOL!

The Guy on the Left - James Duthie 9/10
Great read if you're a sports fan. Good insight into his career and some of the goings-on at TSN.
Very humourous as well.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.
