Thread: Whole eye of round for .99 at some No Frills
-

Another forum is reporting that No Frills has an unannounced (not in flyer) sale of a whole eye of round for .99. At least, it was .99 in Burlington and a few other places have confirmed it (e.g. Edmonton, Hamilton) as well so it may be close to system wide. I say "close" because at least 2 stores are/were charging more. These are probably the same roasts that were on sale 2 weeks ago and No Frills doesn't want to toss them.
Tough meat but nice for slow cookers, etc. If you are in doubt about the deal, then please call your local store and save yourself the gas, etc. if the store isn't offering the deal or is out of stock. This thread is currently associated with: No Frills

Thanks for the feedback. I'm trying Owen Sound myself tonight. I do encourage people to phone first.

Kitchener No Frills has them for $1.99/lb
Unadvertised in the store, in the back bunker against the wall, bottom shelf
There were probably 40 left when I was there 30 minutes ago... no sign so people were not noticing!
Thank OP

I picked up about 20 pounds of eye of round when it was on sale last week and diced it for stew meat. I can't stand paying $12/kg for bottom of the barrel meat (stew meat). Also went back for more and thin sliced for stir fry's.
