Got another cheque from The Man.
Holla!
Got paid for the Family Day holiday. Just chump change. But y'all know what a Smart Canuck can do with a small amount of money.
We are able to stretch a dollar until it begs for mercy LOL.
Thanks to The Man.
They tried to do me wrong, but Karma/God/The Forces of Good - triumph.
I hope this thread helps other SCs going through hard times.

After being treated so badly for two years, and after settling with "The Man" in February of this year, I heard on the news that "The Man" is letting hundreds of people go from their head office.
I don't wish bad things on anyone, but karma does work.
For any SCers going through a rough time, karma makes things right, in time.
Took two and a half years for karma to makes things right for me, but today's news was an interesting twist.

Well, a final cheque from The Man.
Apparently their computer did not calculate properly and they were withholding a percentage
It's a really, really small cheque that could only buy a few grocery items.
But any cheque is welcome.

My favorite quote, "You can choose courage or you can choose comfort BUT you can not have both."
I have also gone thru quite an adjustment in my mid 50's. Retired from a job I was no longer happy in with a poor pension (but glad to have some $) went to a wonderful oil job for 2 years (made 3x the cash of my old job) then laid off due to the oil crash. Unemployment for a few months then found the best job ever with the best boss ever - soon to be transferred this summer due to downsizing - my best boss ever is retiring.
Hoping it is true that good things come to good people.
