Junk Mail

Do you find that youve been getting more junk mail since you enter so many freebie sites?

I find that I have. Do you always enter your real email address, or maybe filter everything out to another address that you dont normally use?

I use a junk e-mail address... one that I've specifically set up for junk that is. But, somehow I've started getting spam at my real e-mail address. I'm so annoyed, cause I don't ever give out that real one. I only used it for 'work' related stuff. ](*,)

Sometimes I think a lot of it has to do with your provider. I used my Cogeco email address for years and never got a lick of spam. Being just as careful with my gmail now that I've switched to using it full time, I get my fair share. Luckily, gmail is smart enough to filter it away so I never have to see it. :D

I use a different gmail email for the freebies stuff and I get a lot of spam there... but as jimmycanuck said, gmail filters it all!

Luckily, I don't get any junk in my main email.

(at first, I thought the post is about getting junk mail rather than e-mail and I was surprised that julieonmymind has a mailbox just for that! lol! Then I realised it's email )

I use an addy specific for freebie sign ups, and have another that I use for family, friends and special newsletters.
