Hi Everyone
New Member
I hope you all can show me better ways to stretch my budget. We are a Household of
3, myself, teenage daughter and one Kitty. 😀
I would like to to learn how to trade for Stamps or Gift Cards as i don't have many coupons to offer in return. I just don't know
where to start
I find the forum is a little overwhelming.
If anyone can help me out I would be extremely grateful.
Thank You!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Click on the tabs that interest you. If you are only interested in coupons and trading. Click on the coupon tabs. There are two separate ones. One for printables and coupons available.. the other "smaller tab" has a trading section.
Be sure to click like and post a brag if you get the deal.. It makes my day!!! Flattery may just get you more deals
Be sure to double check your flyer, points and cashback offers~ YMMV

As MillieH implied, you can get quite a few coupons for yourself by learning where to obtain printables. To help you get started, a few are:
www.smartsource.ca
www.save.ca
www.websaver.ca
www.tastyrewards.ca
www.pgeveryday.ca
www.gethealthysavings.ca
In addition, you should probably familiarize yourself with where you're most likely to find coupons in the stores that are in your vicinity.
Another source is coupon inserts, the little folders of coupons that come in newspapers every once in a while.
As for trading, you should probably consider how you want to trade. On the trading board here, it's comparatively formal, and you have to negotiate each time you want to make a trade. This may or may not be for you. Personally, I get a large majority of the coupons I use by printing them myself, finding them in stores, or from friends and family. Even when I do trade with other SC members, most of those trades are informal ones that don't show up in my SC trade count. But I stress that this is just me. You should decide for yourself how and how much you want to trade.
And here's a tip to consider. If you're going to trade stamps, gift cards or anything else that costs you money, make sure you get solid value back in return. By this I mean coupons that you will actually use. For example, if you trade a $10 GC for a package of coupons that have a total face value of $100 or $200, this trade can be anywhere from very good to very bad depending on how much value you receive in coupons that you will actually use.

Welcome, and congratulations on taking the first step to savings!! Everyone has already given you a lot of good advice, at the beginning it will take you time to plan your savings, but after awhile it will just come naturally. Don’t forget SCOPE, scanning code of practice, really know your prices at the checkout if the price scans higher than what it should be you get it for free up to $10.00 dollars, and if the item is higher than $10.00, you get the $10.00 off and pay the difference, a lot of stores do this grocery stores, giant tiger etc! I still get free products almost on a weekly basis! You mentioned a teenage daughter, I don’t know how old or if she’s into make up but there are always deals on make-up, unless she’s picky and only likes certain brands! Just remember to have fun and we’re all here to help you!
