I live in a 2 story home. The main thing I hate about this house is the laundry room is on the second floor. The dryer vent cover is clogged. There is a bedroom next to the laundry room that has a window about 10 feet from the dryer vent exhaust. The problem is I am afraid of heights ! There is a very steep part of the roof underneath where the exhaust vent that needs to be unclogged is. It's a 2 minute job...just need to go out there and take the cover off, peel off the layer of lint and then put the cover back on. I'm too scared to do it. I've been trying to think of ways to do it without having to go on the steep roof part. Just simply using a ladder from the ground up won't work as you still have to walk on that damn steep part of the roof to get to the exhaust cover. I was thinking I could use a long extended poll with a brush on the end of it, and from the window try and nudge the lint out of the exhaust cover. I don't know...anyone got any ideas? I thought of hiring someone to do it, but the cheapest quote was 100 bucks plus tax. Thanks in advance.

If I hire someone they need to be licensed and insured. The last thing I want is for some inexperienced person slipping and getting hurt. It's a steep part of the roof we are talking about. It makes me nervous lol.
