Thanks for the list! Wanted to confirm that HST payment will land in direct deposit accounts tomorrow. If you are waiting for the cheques, add 5 business days to Jan.3 to get the approximate delivery date.

My bank is weird, I always get all gov. Deposits 1 business day before the official date!

Sometimes if the official date falls on a Monday, I get it as early as Friday (morning)!

Don't know if it belongs here but property tax payments have been delayed for 1 -2 months. License sticker renewals, if expired, will not cause you to be stopped by police. Some Service Ontario locations are closed.

I'll have to explain this delay to Mom (she has something that is needing renewal in May)but I certainly am glad to have put my income tax refund credit towards the next installment of property tax.

Direct deposit is for Friday April 3; cheques may take 5 or more business days to reach recipients.

Also Canada Post has reduced service hours at retail post offices (5pm closures in some cases) recently-that could impact some folks.

Sorry. April 3 will be normal payment. Special payment will be in May.

The Government will provide a one-time special payment by early May 2020 through the GSTC

Check your My Account - CRA

The special HST/GST credit is already showing up for April 9, 2020.

This is Extra and above the regular HST payment you are getting on April 3, 2020.

April 9 payment is that special Covid 19 relief payment.

My Account then
Benefits and Credits then
GST/HST then click on
Payments

You will see it there. Only eligible low income people who get regular HST quarterly payment will get it. So not everyone will get this special payment.

Also check under Ontario Trillium Benefits in My Account-some may have an additional credit with an April 9 date too.

Thanks for posting this information!! Just checked and we will be getting $580.00 GST/HST and 60.xx Ontario Trillium. Will help with paying the groceries!
