Good morning fellow Canucks!
Well, we survived another dumping of snow. Now we have to deal with the chilly temperatures. At least we have the Winter Olympics to watch so will warm our hearts when Canada wins medals.
Have a great weekend folks!

Good morning fellow Canucks!
I am going to vent today:
I have been watching the Olympics this past week. I understand the time difference and I try to watch the late night hockey games live, if I can.
One thing that I notice is that the CBC shows very little Olympic events. They talk talk talk talk talk talk. Then they interview an athlete, then then have some sort of video profile of an athlete. After all that, then there are the neverending commercials. After that, they talk some more. Finally when they get to an event, it always seems to be figure skating. I do understand that a lot of folks like watching that, but for me I can only take it in small doses. I would rather watch skiing (alpine, jumping, snowboarding), bobsled (and other sliding spots).
The real kicker is that there are more channels broadcasting the Olympics. TSN has 4 channels and Sportnet has 3. NBC also counts. Anyway, when I turn to one of the alternative channels, I have seen them showing exactly what the CBC is airing! Yes, sometimes they show other events, but I have seen the same stuff on the sports channels as CBC. What's the point?
This is not CBC's first time doing the Olympics, but this time around the CBC is presenting the Olympics like a bunch of amateurs. Perhaps they are concentrating on the buzz words of the day like being inclusive, diverse, sustainable, we are all in this together, and trying to be non-offensive, rather than showing the games themselves.
Bah!
