Glad you got the promo rate. They should have this available to all customers, not just selected. They are doing the same lottery as Tangerine Bank.

I've read that Tangerine has countered with a targeted offer of 2.8% until July.

I didn't get the offer probably because I'm already getting 2% until April with them but I have Simplii 2.75% until June so I'm fine with that.
What some people don't realize is if you accept an offer, you're settling and telling the bank you're happy with that rate so don't accept offers that you feel are low, especially if the duration is long.

Same offer with Tangerine. Did not get the 2.8%. Tangerine's lottery is not nice. Some have posted that if you did not get their offer this time, withdrawing money from Tangerine may improve the odds of getting the next offer. Very sad way of banking but Tangerine is very sad, sometimes.

yup, had a zero balance with Tangerine savings for at least a year, then they offered 2.5% until July 1st so I moved the savings from Simplii and as soon as I did that Simplii countered with 2.75 for the same time frame. This tangerine offer was the 1st I have had in at least 18 months. I do prefer that Tangerine pays if out monthly so may not move hat i have back because this game is tiresome,
