I got my deposit today but it's more than the $93.25 expected. I saw a $122 deposit. Top-up of $28.75 for Ontario?

I was on Twitter and responding to a couple of tweets regarding the CAI payment and the grocery rebate. The latter will be sent out once legislation passes.

One person had no idea what the $122 EFT line was in her account so I told her.

Three provinces will get CAI payments beginning in July 2023 (i.e. Nova Scotia).

Anyone who did not get their CAI payment on Friday (only March 24 taxpayers whose income tax returns were processed/assessed by that day got the deposits) should see the CAI amount TODAY in their accounts. Per CRA Twitter post I found.

Got my Climate Action Incentive payment notice in the mail on Tuesday. So it seems April is the start of any new payment "year" and $122 is the new amount per quarter.

Noticed that gas prices were $1.629-$1.649 in the Hamilton/Burlington area while on the buses yesterday...that eight cent hike on Wed was real.

The grocery rebate sum will be a surprise-will have to wait until July 5 to see if and or what I got. THough this week, I am aware that one party leader is planning to hold up the budget in Parliament. So I better not get ahead of myself!

I should see if the GST calculator is up-I am not expecting more than a 50 cent hike to the quarterly GST amount based on recent years. I have plans for the cash. It's just getting physically hard to get around and there's a month to go.

*did the calculator and it seems there will be an almost $5 increase to the quarterly amount. I was getting $76.50; calculator indicates $81.25 for upcoming quarterly instalment.

Sibling and Mom last week each got letters from the CRA about their CAI payments. They were issued in late May probably because they filed almost at end of April.

No longer concerned that Mom's CAI never got listed on her April statement (from bank).

today is the last payment from the Alberta affordability grant for us; that $200 ($100/child for 6 months) helped us. Sad to see it's over now.

Those of you who are in rural locations indicated in the following provinces may see a Sept 15 payment adjustment for your Climate Action Incentive benefit:https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-age...i-payment.html

An error was made with a recalculation of the Climate Action Incentive rural supplement for some communities in July 2023. The issue is being resolved and a reconciliation payment will be issued September 15.The communities impacted are the following:

    • Alberta: Red Deer
    • Ontario: Beckwith, Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills, Arnprior, McNab/Braeside, Leamington, Kingsville, Essex, and St.-Charles
    • Manitoba: Niverville
    • Saskatchewan: Craven
    • Newfoundland: Holy Rood
    • Nova Scotia: East Hants, Indian Brook 14
