Normally I'm not up this late, but I had my Duty Manager Shift at the Casino tonight which makes me work the afternoon shift for one week of every seven weeks as the acting Casino Manager and I just got home. Every manager at the Casino must work the Duty Manager shift on a rotating shift basis every seven weeks.

Well after tomorrow's shift , I get a couple of days off to enjoy my revised weekend with Sunday and Monday off.

My favourite was the noon till 8 shift. I could sleep in, do my shopping in the mornings when the stores were empty, & get home early enough to still feel like I had an evening.

We practice, practice & practice as it's just part of our regime,
We power skate, pass that puck & stay away from time wasting offsides calls,
& you will never see us participate in those nasty old bench clearing brawls,
We play our wings & you can bet that we keep our sticks on the ice,
& you know we've tried to tell the Maple Leafs to follow that very advice?
We love when we get a breakaway, deek the goalie as the scoreboard lights up,
You see my friends we're on a quest to win the Lucky Ladies Cup,
Although sometimes we get nailed for hooking, roughing & also tripping,
You will seldom see us with high sticks & you will never see us clipping,
We like to keep the penalty box empty, but we sure like those power plays,
Cause our defence & wingers leave our opponents in a daze,
We pay attention to checking & we all thrive to the sound of a slap shot,
Even the legendary Gordie Howe said "Wow those girls are hot!"
So come on out & support us & chase away the Gary Bettman blues,
Cause with the Smart Canucks Ladies there's no way that you can lose.
