here's another story to my up and down day yesterday. So everything comes together better than I could imagine with the last minute hockey tickets. My son returns my text while he is at school (which is a first), his girlfriend sends me a message via Facebook on something else which I am able to respond to and tell her of the change of plans which she is good with. I lookup Go Train times and the plan is to drive & catch the train at Pickering to get the 4:30 Express to Union arriving at 5:08. Booked reservations at Spaghetti Factory for 5:30. Still the accident problem on the 401 from the morning, running alittle tight but get everyone picked up and to Pickering in time. Buy the train tickets and the Go guy tells me it is track one. Everyone heard him say track one. It is now 4:35 and I realize a train has pulled out a couple of tracks over a few minutes before. I run back to the guy and ask where the 4:30 Express train is which he tells me already left and tells me he is "f______ sorry when I say he told us the wrong track. Catch the next train with the plan we can still get in our reservation though late but the train sits outside of Union for an additional 15 minutes due to a problem on the platform. So we were screwed for dinner. Had a sausage at a stand which was still good. And did enjoy the game.

And then we completely miss the Komisarek hit/penalty as 4 yahoos standing in the aisle, first blocking the view to the center of the ice for a few minutes as they couldn't figure out where they were to sit, then plunk themselves down in the seats in front of us and then standup and try and figure out where they are really supposed to be seated when the proper seatholders arrive, blocking everyone's view which is when the hit occurred of course. Game changing penalty ... arguably so.

Wow that was an adventure...the best laid plans.......
My hubbie went with my son (thank god) They had that problem 15 min on the platform..you must have been on the same train.
They were going to go for dinner but grabbed something at the ACC. They did say it was a great game!!!!!

VTech .... Hubby won a similar package in the 2009 NHL Season in their Leaf's PowerPlay contest. The phones are great - good sound quality and perform extremely well on speaker. However, the batteries are now shot on 2 of the 3 phones. I couldn't believe it when I priced replacement batteries - almost the same as the cost of an entirely new set of phones!! I'm glad I didn't e-cycle the old phones when we originally set up the VTechs because my "ancient" cordlesses which were relegated to the basement are now back in use upstairs (with no battery degradation whatsoever - go figure). Hopefully I'll be able to find reasonably priced batteries because I do like the VTechs, but not that much!!
