I am not worried about my surroundings, as over 40% of the crowd at ACC will be Habs fans! It is amazing to see how many Habs fans are in this town! Do we need a second team here, we absolutely do! If New York and Los Angeles can have it, why can't Toronto! This town keeps calling itself the centre of hockey, well the centre should have more than one team!

Totally agree with the additional team...but, the Leafs would play the territorial card for some 50 million dollars and Buffalo, depending where the team would be situated, would also ask for compensation, I believe there's a specific kilometre radius for the territorial infringement...driving the initial cost of the team higher...The ROI would most likely be good in the future. But, remember the Leaf tickets, to my knowledge, are the most expensive in the NHL, or at least one of the most expensive tickets to purchase in the NHL. As for a jersey, I wear my Steam Whistle Hockey Jersey to games, the number on the back is "24"..LOL

I'm thinking we just may see another team one of these days soon. There are enough fans to justify bringing another NHL team close by somewhere. I guess it would take a lot of finagling & it would need to be very well planned & thought out. There are NHL teams in cities where hockey is just not very popular, let alone a way of life....Carolina? Phoenix?

I am glad that our friend will be wearing his Rocket Richard Jersey & sitting proudly beside him, his son wearing a Sundin Jersey.

One thing you can say about us hockey fans.....we don't forget our stars & we still give them the respect they earned during their careers.

Hockey is ever evolving & when we get a new team in these parts, we can support them too.

You are right about both the Sabres and Leafs losing it if there was another team in the area! It is a shame that the Leaf organization has always been about money and never the end product, so when it comes to another team in the area, it should help lower costs, but we all know Leafs will never do that, and maybe it would really make the Leafs a more competitive team, and come on guys be realistic, we are seeing the same thing as they always do go on a streak, give the fans hope and then the rug gets pulled from under them! Look at the start they had last year, 5-0 first 5 games and 7-3, first 10. Hope is a great word in this town. Love that jersey and your number!
