I have heard of oxlates in relation to gallbladder issues but not in terms of super foods. The house analogy at 36min mark for how the body acts during a switch in diets and oxlate release was illuminating.

The guest has had health challenges she can attribute to oxlates, which like anything else humans ingest, can be toxic at a level different for each person.

Our bodies can crave oxlates too. That makes sense to me for my evening cravings for tea, most decaf Earl Grey.

Diary of A Ceo Youtube)had a nearly 2 hour interview with Dr Lisa Mosconi, neuroscientist and nuclear medicine expert trying to help menopausal women with her research. She also is involved with an entity trying to identify women at risk for developing Alzheimer's disease based on brain scans suggesting brain issues. Midlife is actually when early signs of Alzheimer's begin before full blown development of symptoms arise in post menopausal years.

She said there is another researcher working in Arizona to develop a neural designer estrogen that only seeks the brain and no other area of the body to deliver hormone therapy.

Doctor was amazing to say that her research validates women saying they do not feel like themselves during perimenopause and menopause. Instead of going to neuroscientists, women get referrals to ob/gyn doctors instead who have no neuroscience training. News-symptoms we are told that are due to perimenopause are actually brain symptoms of our brains undergoing renovations ( brain fog, forgetting things, hot flashes, etc). Amygdala activity changes somewhat, which explains why I have been feeling like my emotions are flatter and less euphoric this year (but I have no trouble getting mad still), rather than being buoyant.

I already have reserved one of the doctor's books at the library. I was thinking of Suzanne Somers and her efforts to expand treatment options for women struggling with the transition. Halle Berry recently is getting menopause discussed on talk shows.
